Description

This Seax is based on the Nijmegen Seax found in The Netherlands and dated to the mid-6th century CE. The Patternwelded blade (Damascus) is 300+ layers in half-ladder or Wolf’s Tooth pattern. The handle is traditional walnut and walrus ivory with bronze fittings and hand carved occuli typical of Vendel period decorations. The sheath is hand carved top-grain veg tanned leather with bronze hardware. This knife won the best fighter and best forged blade awards at the Oklahoma Knife Show in February 2023.
